WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a form of tattooing.

Unlike a regular tattoo, pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. Small tattoo strokes are drawn, using the tool to mimic natural hairs which will create beautiful, semi-permanent brow tattoos.

The results leave you with defined or natural brows, saving you tons of time in the morning!

DO I NEED ANY PREPARATIONS, PRIOR TO MY BROW APPOINTMENT?

For best results, please avoid all the following:

  • Use of skin thinners (vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area, 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Alcohol, caffeine, energy drinks or blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Omega 3/ Fish Oil, Niacin) 48 hours before your procedure, to avoid excessive bleeding

  • Sun/Tanning bed exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure.

    • After your brows have had a chance to heal, I recommend applying a small dose of sun-block-cream on your eyebrows. This will help increase the life of your tattoo. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule, and forfeit your deposit

  • Brow waxing/threading (at least 3 days in advance)

  • Botox/Fillers (at least 2 months in advance)

  • Chemical peels (at least 2 weeks in advance)

WHAT IS THE PROCESS AND HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE?

The whole process usually takes 2.5 - 3 hours from the time you walk into the salon.

Here are the steps: â€‹â€‹

  1. Apply numbing cream on your brow area to minimize any discomfort during the procedure. ( 30 mins )

  2.  Quick consultation to discuss expectations and results of the treatment as well as aftercare instructions.

  3. Map your eyebrows: I will draw a shape on your brows that you desire for your approval. Brows are measured perfectly to complement your unique face shape and size. ( 15 mins )

  4. Choose the perfect pigment color to match your natural hair.

  5. Procedure: Pigment is worked into each stroke, using a micro-blade to define the brows. ( 1.5 - 2 hrs )

  6. A pigment mask is left to absorb into the skin. ( 10 mins )

  7. The area is cleaned thoroughly.

  8. Thin layer of coconut oil will be applied on your brows.

ARE THE MICROBLADING TOOLS SAFE?

Tools are disposed of after each client, and a fresh set of tools are used for every procedure.

DOES IT HURT?

Topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the brow area, prior to the procedure. Therefore, you will feel mild to no pain, depending on your level of pain tolerence.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A COLOUR?

By applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows, together we will select the best match for your skin tone.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED TO GET MY IDEAL BROWS?

It generally requires 2 sessions to have brows perfected. Touch-up appointments can be made  6 - 8 weeks after your first visit.
After your desired brow has been achieved, an annual touch-up is highly recommended to maintain the life of the tattoo.

HOW LONG WILL THE FINAL RESULTS LAST?

1 - 3 years depending on your skin type, life style and sun exposure. if you have oily skin and / or if you sweat a lot, the pigment tends to fade faster than those who don't.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

It will generally take 7 - 10 days for the brows (surface of the skin) to heal and about 1 month for the colour to fully set in.
